The Lightbox is inviting artists of all levels to enter the Surrey Open Art Competition 2012. With successful entries displayed in the stunning double height Main Gallery from 3 April to 13 May 2012, the exhibition will showcase the diverse range of artistic talent in the county.

There will be three prizes; the Judges’ Prize of £500, the Peoples’ Prize of £250 and The Ingram Sculpture Prize of £250.

The competition is open to all levels of ability, from amateur artists to art students and professionals. Entrants just have to be over 16 and must either live, work or study in Surrey. Almost all disciplines are welcome including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture and textiles.

The application submission dates for entries are 23, 24 and 25 March 2012. Judging will take place the following week with the successful works going forward into the show, the Judges Prize and The Ingram Sculpture Prize will be announced at the start of the exhibition. At the end of the exhibition votes for the Peoples’ Prize will be counted up and the winner of the Public Prize announced.

There is a non-refundable administration fee of £12.00 for each entry.
