Changing monthly, the 'Taste of Art' features established artists, all noted for their quality of work.
'Taste of Art' strives to offer an exciting mix of paintings, original limited edition prints, textile and mixed media work.
Sally ScottSally Scott studied at Croydon College of Art and the Royal Academy Schools. She taught at Birmingham School of Art, Hornsey College of Art and Middlesex Polytechnic.
Sally divides her life between painting and commissioned work on glass. The glasswork she produces is usually large-scale work engraved and sandblasted, (sometimes painted) on plate glass in public buildings. She believes that the freedom of painting and the joy of colour acts as a perfect contrast to the rigorous discipline required in her glasswork.
For many years Sally has been travelling regularly to the Herault region of France, finding herself inspired by its landscape and the clarity of light and colour.
Primarily a colourist, Sally describes painting as ‘a celebration of the beauty in the natural and everyday things around us.’ For the past ten years she has been studying lithography and believes that the traditional way of making original limited edition prints relates closely to her painting in both its subject, and the combination of painting and drawing.
Sally divides her time between London and France.
