The Lightbox aims to provide a friendly and accessible environment for all visitors.

Disabled parking
There are three disabled parking bays for badge holders outside The Lightbox at the Chobham Road entrance to the site. To reserve a space in advance, please call 01483 737800 or email info@thelightbox.org.uk.
Alternative disabled parking can be found in the Brewery Road car park and from the car park there is access to the main entrance via a ramp and through The Lightbox garden. There is also disabled parking available in the multi-storey ‘Victoria Way’ and ‘Shoppers’ car parks and on Church Street East in central Woking.
Entrances
There are two public entrances to The Lightbox, from Chobham Road or from Brewery Road/Gloucester walk. Both entrances have level access for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Access to the galleries is by lift or stairs.
Garden
The Lightbox has a hard surfaced courtyard garden that is open to the public at the same times as the building.
Lifts
All areas of the building are accessible by lift.
Toilets
Fully accessible toilets are located on each floor.
Seating
Benches are located throughout the building on all floors. Portable stools are also available to borrow from the reception desk on the ground floor.
Wheelchairs
All areas of the building are accessible by wheelchair. We also have two manual wheelchairs that are available for visitors on request. You can pre-book these by calling 01483 737800 or ask at the reception desk on the ground floor.
Induction Loops
Induction loops are available in the following areas:
- At the reception desk, shop tills and cafe counter
- Main Gallery
- Upper Gallery
- In key parts of Woking’s Story (museum)
- Education Studio
- The Ambassador Room
You will need to switch your hearing aid to the 'T' position in order to use these.
Magnifying Glasses
Magnifying sheets are available to borrow from the reception desk on the ground floor.
Dogs
Registered assistance dogs are welcome.
Tickets for temporary exhibitions
Disabled visitors and their escorts can buy concessionary tickets for temporary exhibitions. Concessionary rates also apply to over 60s, the unemployed, students with a valid NUS card and Woking Passport to Leisure holders.
